In May 2009, BCREA sponsored the second survey of a two-part public opinion research project. This second survey, conducted by Mustel Group Market Research, tracked several key measures asked in a January 2009 BCREA survey, including top affordability barriers and how provincial taxes impact BC homebuyers. It also uncovered new primary data on buyer intentions and energy-efficiency practices at home.
In January 2009, BCREA sponsored the first survey in a two-part public opinion research project. This first survey, conducted by Mustel Group Market Research, benchmarked public awareness of housing affordability hurdles like the Property Transfer Tax and collected original primary data on green real estate trends throughout the province.
In February 2007, BCREA released the results of its second public opinion survey on Quality of Life and development issues.
In August 2006, The Real Estate Foundation of BC and BCREA provided funding to the Urban Futures Institute to compare and contrast the housing occupancy patterns of Canadian-born and foreign-born Lower Mainland residents by their period of immigration, visible minority status and community of residence.
In January 2005, BCREA released the results of its first public
opinion survey on Quality of Life and development issues. This research was partially funded by The
Real Estate Foundation of BC.
